With over 70 golf facilities, the Costa del Sol is one of the most densely populated golf regions in Europe. THE FLAG is located on Playa del Saladillo, between Estepona and Marbella, with all three Villa Padierna courses just a few minutes' drive away (transfers included).
FLAMINGOS COURSE

The course is surrounded by a rich variety of trees and has sea views with the Villa Padierna Palace Hotel as a backdrop. The front nine requires precision on the narrow fairways.
ALFERINI COURSE

The most challenging of the three courses, with long, narrow fairways and large greens demanding both length and accuracy. It is an exclusive experience set in tranquil natural surroundings.
TRAMORES COURSE

Nestled between two valleys, with sea views. The course is fast and precise, with bunkers of every size, making it ideal for sharpening your short game.
PREMIUM-OPTION: FINCA CORTESÍN
The Premium Golf Package also includes a green fee for Finca Cortesín in Casares, which is widely regarded as one of the best golf courses in Europe. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, it will host the 2023 Solheim Cup. Wide fairways, strategic bunkers and ancient olive trees make every hole a unique experience.

How many golf courses are there on the Costa del Sol?
The Costa del Sol has over 70 golf facilities, making it one of the most densely populated golf regions in Europe. In particular, around Estepona and Marbella, you’ll find a high concentration of renowned courses, including Villa Padierna, Finca Cortesín, Valderrama and La Reserva Sotogrande.
When is the best time of year for a golf holiday on the Costa del Sol?
The Costa del Sol is considered one of Europe’s most playable golf regions all year round. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, autumn and winter are appealing too. If you’d rather avoid peak season and the hottest temperatures, the best time to go is from March to May or September to November. Green fees are also lower at this time of year, and the courses are less crowded.
What’s the difference between the Unlimited and Premium Golf Packages?
The Unlimited Golf Package (from €360 per night) gives you unlimited golf on the three Villa Padierna courses. The Premium Golf Package (from €680 per night) includes all of the above, plus a green fee for Finca Cortesín, one of Europe's best golf courses and host of the 2023 Solheim Cup.
How do I get to the hotel and the golf courses?
Málaga Airport is the nearest international gateway. Transfers between the airport and the hotel can be booked on request (from €150 per journey). Transfers to the Villa Padierna golf courses are included in both packages.
Is a golf holiday on the Costa del Sol suitable for beginners too?
Yes. The three Villa Padierna courses offer varying levels of difficulty. The Tramores Course is particularly well suited to sharpening your short game. Personal training and golf lessons can also be booked on request.
